Grinding trans = bad motor mounts?
D16Z6 in my Del Sol..
Recently read that bad motor mounts can lead to grinding gears. True or false? I'm having trouble getting into first and reverse; period. And grinds at higher RPM.. Higher RPM=more motor movement correct? If that's the case it would make sense that I'm grinding because of excessive motor movement. They aren't expensive to replace and the labor can't be too hard..

Yes a bad mount can have issues with a tranny in alignment. Could be a couple of other things such as your T/O bearing needing adjustment or your synchros going south. Perhaps adjust the T/O bearing and mounts (if mounts are that bad).
normally on the d series trannys its the input shaft bearing walking out... there are threads on here that show very detailed info on it... But yeah fix your motor mounts, first.
my buddy had a very similar problem in his gsr swapped civic. a few a of his mounts were completely torn. the motor would torque, making it hard to find certain gears. energy inserts with some silicone and hasnt had a problem since.
