ok guys..i know this one is a little old...but my very first car, an 1983 prelude, needs a rebuild..however, the cylinder walls are crapped out and the block will need to be bored out...i think not..does anyone have or know where i can get an ES-1 block, or complete engine, cheap? i've looked everywhere with no avail...thanx for your help.

I would recomend instead of reboreing, and if you really want to keep that engine, get it resleeved. Will be easier to reuse some old parts like pistons.

Have you Considered an Engine Swap. Once I get started and finish the swap of my ET2 1.8L Dual Carb engine for a newer 91 Preludes 2.2L EFI I believe is a F22A I will be parting with my current engine and trans.

There are plenty of other year preludes to pull engines from, but will take some work to get them transplanted. I will also look around I have seen plenty of ET2 engines around but never looked for the 83s engine. Dont loose heart.
