Default "Stock" looking black deck?

I'm looking for a nice CD or cassette player for my '88 Prelude, but I'd like it to look "stock". I LOATHE shiny silver trim and am not a huge fan of large screens. The interior of my car is black and the lighting is a greenish color.

I'm looking for one that I can hook an iPod up to (been having issues with an interface for a stock radio for a bit).

A photo of the interior. Looking to replace the cubby with the stock pocket with door. The tape deck shown is from a '93 Accord. I like the look for the most part, but the interface has given me enough issues and some lights are out on it. I'd rather just have a nice aftermarket deck that fits my wants and needs.

It depends on how much you're willing to spend...
The Nakamichi CD-400 has a "factory-ish" look (but no ipod capability)... Nakamichi's are build for SQ

http://www.amazon.com/Nakamichi-CD-4...0742926&sr=1-1

The MB-VI is fairly unfancy, and is a single DIN FM/AM/6-Disc 6 changer for $299

http://www.amazon.com/MBVI-Nakamichi...0742653&sr=8-6

I mean for a "quick glance" at quite a few brands/models you can check out this link:

http://www.woofersetc.com/c-8-cdmp3-...=1&pagesize=50

While it's not a complete list obviously, you can see some of the lower end Kenwoods are fairly plain jane, but anymore it's going to be hard to find a quality unit that's not somewhat flashy.. you have to remember people now a days listen to more compressed music, so SQ isn't quite up on the list as it use to be.. it's more features and flashy looks.

You could also find another stock radio online that has the CD in port, and find an adapter (or make on if it uses the DIN connector) and run an RCA Aux input to feed your ipod audio in... or find a newer one you can get to mount in that will allow you to use an ipod interface adapter (though going with an after market will most likely prove to be cheaper)

Those first two links are some good examples of what I might be looking for. I was actually expecting Nakamichi to get mentioned.

Searching around the other night I found this one as well.

I'm currently running a stock '93 Accord radio (see pic in first post) with an iPod adapter. The adapter is only three months old, yet it will occasionally randomly skip. In order to access the adapter I need to remove the radio. So I pull the radio out and disconnect the adapter from the backside of the radio. Plug it back in. Still skips (about once a second). Reach the adapter box, unplug the line to the iPod. Still skips.

It basically will randomly decide to start skipping and randomly decide to stop skipping and work correctly. It could happen every day for a week or it could work fine for a month. Besides a few blown out lights, everything works well otherwise.

Besides that, I'm ready to upgrade to something a little nicer than stock.

This is my daily and the old speakers are about to come out, the driver speaker will one again work (works only sometimes) and I'd like to have something a little nicer just for my daily driving.

Thanks so far for the help!

No prob. I put one of the Nakamichi's into a a 97 911 Turbo for a guy. A lot of people don't like them because they look "plain" or "cheap", but looks aren't everything. His was a 6-disc in-dash single din as well. The fact the amp pops off of the back when you need to use RCA's is nice as it doesn't make the radio ridiculously deep and allows the amp to be remotely locate (granted not really far away as the cable is fairly short). All in all a great sounding unit.

I know the older Blaupunkt units looked near factory. Newer ones look like everything else though.
