Clevite bearings are a good quality bearing. I used them in my setup last year. This year I am going to use ACL race series bearings. Jeff Evans has been running them for years in high HP setups.

I hear they are soft and are not meant for any kind of long range durability. Cant go wrong with OEM or if your clearances measure out ACL's.

id sure love to know where people get information like this, clevitte bearings are OEM replacements, they are not "soft" they are exactly the same as the bearings you get from honda, if not better.

Actually, if I'm not mistaken, Acl makes the bearings for Honda. Not clevite.

Define the term "OEM Replacement"? Are they all different sizes so they can be matched up correctly or one size fits all?
You are the first man I know of that recommends Clevites in a Honda, I have been on this site for a lot longer than my join date says... and after a thread that was just created a week ago that covered Bearings... Clevites were spoken upon rather harshly in there as well.

I use clevite bearings on both my builds. First one made 650whp. 4 years later the car still runs like a champ and no problems what so ever. 2nd build was just complete this weekend and tuned last night. It only has 60 miles on the motor currently but no problems!

Using oversized clevites in my built motor. All the bearing were oversized to the same sized anf everything was blanced and blueprinted besides flywheel and crank. Have been running well for over a year and a half boosted daily!
