Default need a EF body expert, Roof question. help

So I recently got into a car accedeint with a deer and now my roof on my 91 hatch is caved in, I know most of yall will just tell me to buy another shell but Ive done too much things to my car to let it go, what that is I cant say for theft purposes. I alreadt found a body expert who will cut the roof from the pillars and weld another on professionally. my question is will a roof off a 88-89 civic fit perfectly from the pillars? I know the doors are a bit different so this is why I ask. Anyone have any info or could help me out here, thanks.

not sure on the roofs but quater are, id messure frist, imo it would be eazier to replace the roof using the spot weld vs the pillars, pillars would be harder to line up then spot welds would be, if you look at some of the guy who put glass roofs in there crx you can see about how it would to be to take the roof off, probally be little different on civic but same idea

I have a 91 and an 89 so I took a couple of mesurements. The b pilar (middle one) is not in the same exact place it is off by 1/2 inch. I also noticed that the b pillar is actually different. On the 91 with the seat belt in the door it required extra bracing up near the top of the b pillar for the door collision lock *****, if you will.

I agree with k20, you should stick with replacing the roof panel only. Overall roof length is the same for the center panel. If there is damage on a or c pillars(front near windshield and back near hatch) I believe those are the same.
