Default USDM vs canadian p30 ecu

Im going to try and bar my ej1 and came across a canadian p30 and want to know if it was the same as the usdm and be able to get bar'd. searched a little and couldnt find anything. plz help. thanks in advance

If there is a difference, i don't know about it. I don't see why they would be any different, same engine.

I just want to make sure before i buy it because you cant get bar'd with a jdm p30

Canada: No ELD. You'll need a different alternator, probably (could be a pain). Just wait for a US version.

OBD2 Canadian civics/integras have no ELD (and consequently the ECU doesn't look for one), OBD1 do as far as I can tell, OBD1 alternators are at least all 4 wire anyway.

As far as passing BAR I'm pretty sure it has to be a USDM ECU, Canadian ECUs will communicate with the DLC connector and everything and should be functionally identically the US ECU, but it will most likely fail the visual inspection.
