Default Lowering Type S

What up? im gettin a rsx type-s within a week. I was wondering what kind of springs or coilovers i should get... Should i get like ground control or something like that?? will the ride be shitty?? From lowering it with regular springs or coils make it hard on the shocks and struts??...I dont really want to spend 400 bucks on coils..then 300 on shocks...U guys with lowered rsx's...witout full suspension upgrade...will it be fine with just coils or springs??

Sounds like you're on a budget. If you have no intention of going to autocross, just get some Ground controls as you suggested. You can even go generic if all you really want to do is lower it. heck, why not just get some springs. If you wanted the crazy **** though, get something that is height adjustable and dampering adjustable all in one, ala HKS hiper dampers, Tein's, Endless B-6. You will definitely have some fun w/ these ones, and will rail corners like a muthaf*cka.

Skunk2 coilovers are good for the buck. I got them on my type S and they are good. They handle great and they give a good ride. Plus it's fully adjustable for what ever you need. Plus the cost is like 35o.oo-45o.oo. Good Luck bro.

progress springs for the DC5 are made to work with the stock shocks. they lower the car sweetly and the handle incredibly well. they're pretty cheap and you can get some Koni Yellows down the road if you want some extra firmness. I've installed them personally and they're great springs for the money

don't get that ajustable spring crap. If you want coilovers get true coilovers like Tein or H&R. I hate those GC and Skunk2's. You shouldn't have bought a 25k car if you where going to do that.
