WHO out there has done an auto to manual swap??? I need info- thanks
Just wondering:
for all those people who've done auto to manual swaps ins 89-91 civics, how do they turn out? Does it feel natural? i.e. does it feel like every other manual ?? or are there some common problems??
Let me know your opininons, thanks!!

dude its easy , i will do it for u if u want , just change the pedals , change trany and linkage, and bam u got a 5 spd..let me know
There are no differences to the tranny side mount bracket in the 88-91 models. Back before I put the LS swap in my girlfriend's CRX which was an auto, people told me I would have to cut the tranny mount from the frame, get one from a manual car a reweld it in and all this other stuff. Well that is wrong - for 88-91 cars they are the same, but the 92-95 are different and you would need to do that.
The swap is very straight forward and there's not a lot of hard work involved. The hardest part is getting the pedal board in. Even with the dash out of the car, it's really hard to fit them in.
Even though you will technically now have a manual tranny, the wiring to the ignition switch and all still makes the car an auto and you need to do a little wiring. I would get a Helms manual for the wiring because the car will need to be wired to "think" that it's in Park all the time. There's no need to short it out or anything like people have said in the past. Just find the Park wires and wire them together, that's it. Then you'll need to find the reverse lights and run them out under the hood and wire them up on the wires on the tranny. If you ever need any help let me know.

pollyurethane bushings instead of rubber ones makes it so there is no play side to side in gears for better shifting and stiffens it up
so what all is needed tranny pedals clutch cable linkage.....???? is there any welding for linkage or is it just bolt up..??
You need:
tranny
pedal board
shift linkage
clutch cable
clutch/pressure plate/flywheel
You only need to modify the shift linkage if you are using a B motor. If you are keeping the stock motor and just doing a manual swap then the shift linkage will bolt up as-is.
