anyone in the K world know someone in the SF bay area that
would do the K-series gas tank conversion for B.A.R. purpose

 

i heard that it was more then just the gas tank. I remember talking to Ken from rcrew a while ago when they got their civic k swap bar'd/ I remember him telling me it was a pain to do, cause you have to custom fit the dash and cluster to get it bar'd. Try contacting Dan from Rcrew and see if they are still willing to do that work.

 

Dash not nessesary, every single emission related component is. Find crashed rsx-s and swap everything over, immobilizer, gas tank, basically the entire rsx car harness really, or just roll illegal and hope for the best and have a smog hook up. Cali is ****ing gay!!(But doesn't allow gay marriage, crazy rite)

the engine has to be the same year or newer,and has to come with all of the smog components..originaly installed with that chassis .... (I.E.) if it was in an automatic it also has to have the tourqe converter lockup...as it is an emmision device now, as it helps warm the car up to operating temp faster... and don't forget the VIN# is also in the computer...which will tell the Bar if it is out of an auto or man..
