Brake Lamp Light
On my 1991 Honda Accord my brake lamp warning light comes on periodicaly. This is the light that says if there is a brake light out. All of my lights work. I was just wondering, what would happen if I just disconnected the switch. Would the light stop coming on?
I've seen faulty check circuit relays in the trunk cause this. Sometimes those relays get corroded connectors because the relay is in the trunk and gets wet occasionally. I've also found an overheated solder joint in the check circuit in the gauge cluster before. I melted the solder with an iron to fix the connection.
You need an electrical schematic and a multimeter to diagnose the problem.

I have the same problem. Some of my bulb connectors are corrodid. I found that you can buy the tail light harnesses from hondaautomotiveparts.com for $15 each. I might give that a try.
