d16 mini me code 4 limp mode??????

Default d16 mini me code 4 limp mode??????

did a d16a6 block with d16z6 head in my 89 sedan all obd1 have a code 4 and am in limp mode dizzy works on friends car but not on mine was fine for first mile until i turned car off could timing be off or wiring have no power????
help please

Code 4 is for the crank position sensor. Either the sensor is bad or a wire is bad/pinched. Pinched wires is one of, if not the most common problem I've seen with swaps.

If you think your not getting power to the dizzy then check for battery voltage by disconnecting the dizzy wire and putting the positive lead of the multimeter on it and the negative lead to body ground.

Here is the Factory Service Manual troubleshooting for Code 4. I used this when I had code 9 and turned out to be code 4. Hope this helps you out.

got it fixed my wiring behind the motor fell on to the axle and was shorting out thanks for the feed back
