h22a oil pump sympthoms???
h22a swap in ef. running really good for two years, untill the other day. car would sputter before vtec, and when vtec pops it cuts in and out. no CEL, oil level is good, no oil leaks. cleaned vtec solenoid, still sputters and kicks in and out of vtec. its lik there is no gas. does it only at high rpms, 3rd and 4th gear pulls. its like vtec oil pressure is not consistant. please any help
I just got it tuned wit Crome because I thought it was the fuel supply to. We just stopes after the 3rd pull cause it was doing that, and tuner mentioned that the oil pump could b going out because of my light weight crank pulley
its happend to me b4 guys.when m using the H22a.yeah m very sure dat is bcoz of oil pump..when cold Vtec can on smppthly..but then when Hot the VTEC smetimes on n off but then if too hot Vtec off all the way..so my suggestion change ur oil pump..

yes thats ok. try cleaning your vtec solenoid screen. put the stock crank pulley back on, you're only going to damage your engine without it
i had the same problem in my h22 accord it ended up being my fuel pump and a combo of running the wrong gas i was running 87 on my jdm h22 clogged some things up.
have you changed the o2 sensors at all or recently my ek had the same problem my accord did and it ended up being my o2 since its obd1 you should on have the 1 sensor check the sensor to see if its frayed or really dirty.
to tell you the truth its old lol. had the same o2 when i had a bad header leak from the slip on part. got that fixed but didnt replace the o2. i got an extra o2 sensor too. i should use it and see what happens
definaly do that the o2 effects all the fuel curves but what i dont get is why the check engine isnt coming on??? thats got me baffled you sure it even works?? lol
