Door doesn't open from outside
I have a 2002 Honda Accord and the rear driver-side door will not open with the exterior door handle. I can open it from the inside handle though. If I remove the door panel can I get to where I need to in order to fix this? Also, what's the best way to correct this problem? I'm assuming it's something related to the rod.
Thanks in advance!

Have you removed the panel to see if the rod is bent or disconnected?
I would do that soon before you become one of the guys who posts a thread saying his door just plain won't open at all and how to fix that.

im also having this same issue. looked behind the panel and dont see where a linkage wouild hook to the handle. I also took the door panel off the other door and dont see it on that one either thought maybe I could get the handle out but I can only see one bolt holding it on and after I removed it I could still not remove the handle. Any one ever had to do this before?
When you pull up on the outside handle, can you feel resistance or is it "limp"?
And pull the bottom part of the back seat out, will help you access the closed door. There is one bolt in the crevice of the seat, close to where the seatbelt buckle is for the seat behind the driver. Remove that bolt, then grab the lower front lip of the lower part of the back seat and pull straight up. There will be some resistance, keep pulling. There are two clips holding it on.

The inside part of the handle has a rod. Very hard to see when it's connected. It should be tucked in the corner to the door latch. You should raise the window half way to 3/4 of the way up to get behind the glass. It hasn't happened to me yet, but I know people have had the little plastic tab break on the lock. That's what allows the handle and latch to work. Good luck.

@fcm. The rear power locks will work sometimes. Most of the time I hear buzzing sounds. Not sure where to start. 1996 Honda Accord EX sedanF22B1. Thanks.
