seriously why not run e85 or try the rocket fuel e85 or e98? Ethanol is a good fuel don't knock it until you try it!!!

But I was having the same issue Tony strongly recommended e85.

You might have to say f*ck it and sell the Id's and go with the Wizards if your bent on using Q. To my knowledge you can't use those kind of fuel with those injector's, it even says' it on the web site and I'm sure if there was a way it would of been heard of by now.

Then spend your money on C23 or buy oxygenated capable injectors. Don't knock a fuel that you don't use and or have no 1st knowledge of. Your friend or compadres experience is not yours.

Try running E-98 that gas makes great power, plus the cost of a 55 gallon drum is cheap compaired to q16 or vp import..I know a 7 second fwd honda that ran 7's on e98.

Hrm, use a great fuel with properly matched injectors...capable of making all of the HP you would ever need.

OR

Use an extremely corrosive fuel on Sub Par injectors...

Yeah, makes SENSE to me...not even thinking about the money you would save either.

To address your question...

You cant make the Injector Dynamics 2000cc injectors work with fuels that contain MTBE

from the testing i have seen the above is corerect! what i have seen on a flow bech is that with fuels with MTBE in them the injector starts changing flow rate and become very inconsistant. after flushing them out they were fine again.

It might be a pain, but why not 8 x ID 1000's if you want to run Import or Q?

Thats how we do it down here in the desert. 8 ID1000's, Q16. Personally, I prefer the VP fuels, and cost is not a concern on fuel, we dont use much of it.

C23 sucks, no fast cars run it and it doesn't work. lol Well, except for all the fast cars using it. I honestly think that anyone hell bent on Q16 and hating C23 has not tried both. I have.

And to answer your question, no, it is not possible to make the ID2000 compatible with MTBE.
