My 98 crv vibrates at idle. It vibrates a lot in R N and P gears and the vibration is less in D4. You can feel the vibration if you hold the front bumper or bonnet, and inside the car. It also vibrates at low to idle speed in D4. I just changed a broken engine mount but thats it. Any idea?

 

Could it be a MAF sensor being dirty. The vibration only happens sometimes and sometimes there is no vibration. The air filter never got changed, just cleaned it with air gun every three months. I did floor the crv on an empty highway and it shot to 160 kilometers per hour and stayed at 160 for a while and then shot to 200. So it did not go up to 200 kph, it hesitated at 160 and then went to 200. There is also a little bit sluggish acceleration. It does accelerate but not like before.

 

Did change the air filter but like every year, but cleaned t every three months.

 

did you say that it vibrates while its on Park?
hows the motor running? does it run ok?
does the car wiggle when you drive it?

 

Yeah I think its the mounts, the car drives perfectly normal. It vibrates on P R and N and a little in D4 during idle. The car does not wiggle while driving it.
