"Mugen Euro has released today the first two sketches of a one-off, Honda CR-Z prototype. Unfortunately, Honda's factory tuner says that there are no current plans of selling their Honda CR-Z prototype. The world premiere of the Mugen Euro Honda CR-Z will take place at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July.
Powered by a 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine, the Mugen Euro Honda CR-Z uses the car maker's IMA system to boost power and torque. The be able to handle the extra umpf, Mugen's new custom Honda CR-Z is fitted with bigger brakes, a stiffer suspension and features improved chassis dynamics.
Mugen believes that despite having more power, their Honda CR-Z prototype might actually offer improved fuel economy in reduced CO2 emissions. however, at this time, the power, torque, fuel consumption and CO2 emissions figures have not been rated. "
