95 Accord EX, won't start when its hot out side
I have a 95' accord Ex 2-door, On warmer days , its doesn't want to start, But if you roll the windows down and let it sit for 10 mins or so she'll start right up.. The times it won't start, when you turn the key on the Check engine light won't go off (I never hear the fuel pump kick in) I talk to my Honda guy, he said it was the Main Relay, So I changed it with a OEM one, seemed to fix it for a couple of weeks, now its doinng it again, Not all the time just here and there... Anyone have any ideas
I would take it back and get a new one.. that is most likely your problem.. even though its an eletronic component its still made by a person.(could have gotten past quality control and still be faulty)

Have you tested the car battery voltage? Have you had the car battery load tested recently? Often times when the battery begins to fail it will cause erratic problems, car alarms/central locking systems activating/deactivation for no reason, weird radio issues, items sensitive to electrical pulses may not react the way you would normally expect them to.
Keep in mind when it comes to electrical items, unless the part is still wrapped up in its baggy or obviously defective, most automotive parts dealers will not accept the part back. Considering that the main is showing the same symptoms of the old one, it may be due to a different problem. This problem may well be the cause of the Main Relay unable to make the connection. My concern is if there is some form of electrical instability the relay may have been damaged. Chattering of the contacts in the relay may damage them.

I have a 97 dx. Started having similar issues, the car will start if it's been sitting long enough for the engine to cool all the way down. Run the car up to temp, shut it off and try to restart and it just cranks. I've figured out that it's getting excessive fuel and that's the reason for the start trouble. I was checking my fuel pump and decided to see what would happen if I disconnected the pump. Did do andit fired up within a few seconds. I'm trying to figure out what's causing it to dump so much fuel in. When the engine is warm it'll just crank and I smell raw fuel. It also started idling high when it was hot. Cleaned out the IACV and it helped with the idling but not the no start when hot problem. I can get it to start once the engine has cranked long enough for the battery to run down almost completely. My guess is that it starts when the fuel pump doesn't have enough battery power to dump all the excess gas in it. This is just an easy test I found to narrow down the prob. Showed me it was getting too much rather than not enough. Pull up the back seat. Unscrew the cover plate to the pump. Put your hand on it while you prime and you can easily tell if it's working. If you have spark, fuel pump works, relay is good, try this test.
What about your Check Engine Light? Is it still on? If so, what codes do you have? That may give some insight into your issue. Pull a plug wire and check for spark (just be careful, it won't kill you but it will get your attention), spray some starting fluid into the intake to see if the car runs. Do some simple diagnostics first before replacing parts. Is your relay clicking on and off when you cycle the IGN switch on?
