Help! my 88 crx dx auto won't restart after I shut it off???
Hi Gang
I am proud to announce I just picked up my wifes first car (twin) an 88 CRX dx Automatic with 75k original miles on it. I have much cleaning, scrubbing and fine tuning to do but it is all there and the ac still works!
It drove 30 miles home just fine, but when I stoped I couldn't get it to crank over at all I tried for 30 min or more, when I came back later it started right up? I drove it home, shut it off and tried to start it again and NOTHING it wouldn't even crank, after letting it sit for a couple hours it started right up again? shut if off right away and tried it immediately again and again NOTHING! I am baffled ? It defies anythig I can think of?
I am sure someone has experienced this Please enlighten me? (before I go mad hahaha)
Thanks in advance?
PS all my brownie points are in danger of disappearing if I can't get it going soon! hahahaha SAVE THE BROWNIE POINTS HAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Does that just unplug, and snap into the wiring harness?
Has anyone else had this happen with a different solution? I want to cover all the bases! GodBless Brian
Here is a helpful link that someone posted awhile back covering Honda's notorious main relay and other intermittent starting problems. It is written for the ER but still applicable. Working through it may help you uncover your problem.

The solders on your main relay have failed or the wires going to them have came loose. You can solder the old one back together, or just buy a new one (that's what I did).
Your car will start when it's cool, but as soon as it gets warm, the relay will fail = no start. I used to have to wait 30 minutes after pumping gas to go anywhere.
