Code 9 and code 22 problems..need help!
I have b16 vtec head and p28 ecu, Code 22 popped up on CEL and i took solenoid and solenoid valve assembly off and cleaned the filters out and everything else internally, put new gaskets on and put everything back on the head. Now the motor will turn over and try to start but will die and CEL reads now code 9 and 22. What is going on?
I have attached the troubleshooting flow chart for Code 9. This is a problem with the Cylinder Position Sensor in the distributor. Grab a multimeter and go to town. I had this issue and it took me awhile to figure out what the actual issue was. I had to convert my car back to OBD-0 to find the real issue. Hope this helps.
As a heads up, my "Code 9" that I struggled with actually turned out to be a Code 4 when I put it back to OBD0 which was the wire that was not connected by the ECU. It pulled out when I was swapping out my ECU's. Good luck though.
