One the left side of the steering wheel there is the light dimmer switch, and two blank panels. I got the JDM piece that is just a flat plate to cover that, but when I unhook the dimmer switch the climate control lights go out. Anyone know what to do to keep the lights on? I don't want my JDM amber climate control to go to waste.

I don't have a mirror switch. This is on a CX hatchback.
