i hear good things about them, as long as you use the proper setup, im going to try the y8 turbo cams and valve train and see if it holds up

On Crowers first few batches of DOHC vtec billet cams they had problems with them breaking, supposivly everything is cool now...

I use a set in my ZC, seem to work just fine.
(I only had to weld them back up once... J/K)

I have a set of 63402's that I ran in my daily driver w/ B16A for a year or so without problems. I was using ITR/Portflow springs and Crower Ti retainers and reved it to 9k almost every day. No problems at all.

I am kind of leery now though after all the breaking stories. I was running them in a 500$ B16A, but I'm building a new B18C with much more $$$$ invested and I really don't want to take a chance.

Anybody want to by a set of 63402's?

I ran the non-vtec cams for almost a year, no problems. This was with a fully built head. They are for sale too.

I just bought a set of ITR cams for my B16. ITRs in my opinion is the most reliable way to go and they give you plenty of extra power. The only better cams out there would be the TODAs, but are about 3-4 times the price of ITRs. If you can afford it, get a set of JDM CTR cams, they are a little more aggressive, otherwise get the USDM ITR. I've heard '00 USDM ITR cams are the same as the JDM CTR, so you could get a set of those.

Again, type R cams are cheap and reliable. That's why I went that way. Oh, and I got a good deal on a pair too.

There is a set of Type Rs selling right now on ebay, but the guy is asking way too muck, fist bid is at 450 us which is the price of a new JDM CTR kit!

Good luck! Keep us updated!

ITR/CTR cams will give u 5-10 WHP
skunk2 stage1 will give u 15-20 WHP
the toda spec A is a waste-equiv. to tpye R
spec B's are equiv to skunk2 stage 1 in WHP gains.
dunno **** about JUN camslol

The Crower cams broke because of improper installation or improper valvetrain specs. Of all the reported cases of people breaking the Crower cams, nobody claimed to be using only Crower valvesprings...always a combo of something else.

So...if you run Crower's stuff then I don't forsee any problems.

As far as making power goes skunk2 Stage 1 makes awesome numbers in B16s, Stage 2 is actually not as beneficial.

I personaly would buy their no-vtec B18-B20 cams.. they make good power all the way to 8-5K-9k rang.
-but if you have a B16a-B18c I would get skunk or other cams, they don't tend to make as much power though.
* as for cams breaking...... all cams can break...Go in to the ITR form and ask them which cams will not break they will tell you the same thing i'm about to tell you. :::::::get them properly insatalled and tunned.
If you imporperly install Jun3 they will look just like that pix.

I got the 63402 in my 2.0 L B18C6 and got no problems. They make good power, for allday or trackuse.

Maybe i cange them to try the Skunk2 next year, just to see where the difference is, not 'cause they can brake, every cam can brake

Actually they were the best in midrange, my vtec x-over was at 6900 with the b's. The skunks didnt feel good till about 7000rpm and up.
