clutch pedal dead 95 accord
Any easy checks I can do to see what the problem may be?
Pedal has slight resistence, not not as much as it should. It goes to the floor and kind of sticks, but will pop out. The car can be difficult to get into gear and the problem seems to be worse in the morning when it's cold.
I know it could be a number or things like the master cylinder, slave cylinder, or possibly even just are in the lines or low on some fluids?
Any suggestions on what to check are appreciated.

i'm going to bleed the hydraulic line, because my fluid is way low. cap says use dot 3 or dot 4 does it matter which one? I don't know what is in there currently. THANKS.
^^ thanks. so if i open the bleeder valve on the slave cylinder, I can bleed it all the way? Do I need to do anything besides open the valve?
Then fill er up and just pump the clutch until i get a steady stream out of the bleeder right?

How about fill it up and don't worry about bleeding it. When you fill it up pump the clutch numerous times to see if you have any leaks. If you're leaking fluid then don't waist your time bleeding it. But as for bleeding it just fill it up, have someone pump the clutch a couples of times and hold the pedal to the floor and you open the bleeder valve and close. Repeat until you get a solid stream.
^^ thanks -- good idea.
my only concern is i don't know what type of brake fluid is in there now (dot 3 or dot 4)
will i do any damage if i fill it up and pick the wrong type?
If i decide to bleed it, how can i purge the lines of any old fluid?
