My b20/vtec Build, 94 Integra
Hey Guys, New to the site an all.
Ok so this is where Im at, So far I had my head shaved down, The last builders of my car screwed up badly, They used the wrong head studs an they didnt bite enough into the block, causing them to strip the block holes out, causing the head bolts to back out of the block, Then my head gasket blew, so I got everything I needed, I had the head milled down alittle bit being the car did overheat a few time's. So I rebuilt a b20 block from a Crv. The old block has striped out head bolt holes.
Anyways right now Im waiting for my head gasket to come in at Napa, was sposs to be here today, I hope it is, Im so ready to get thsi car back on the road again.
Ok so from what I understand, Now that I had the head shaved Im going to have to adjust the cam timming, befor I ripped the engine out the exhaust cam was advanced 2+ so now im guessing i was to set both am gears at 0 on both, set crank at top dead center, an set cams at 0, What I was wondering tho, If i had the head shaved will my valves hit pistons now? if I dont adjust the cams befor I rotate the engine by hand. I understand to rotate the engine an all, Im just worried that It may be hard to get my cams lined up right, being I have AEM cam gears installed, Theres marks on the cam gears, But theres no up arrow saying which way the cam have to be installed, theres marks on the sides of the cam's, an there is a weird mark on the top of the cam, Ill take a pic to show you guys what I mean, I just dont want to screw this up, all be cause of these cam gears, I left the cam gears on the cams, I didnt take them off, so they are the same way they where when I tore the motor apart for the rebuild, Im guessing I need to adjust the cam gears after i get the cars timming belt back on. Heres some pics of the car, from beginning to all most end, There's a few odd pics two. Thanks for looking guys an Im sure Ill be asking for help one of these days now.

I have Many more to come, Falling asleep at the computer tho right now, LOL
