My friend will sell me her 96 Accord EX for $1000 it has about 180,000 miles on it. The oil light comes on while driving (about 15 mins after starting and during all phases of driving), the sunroof wont close (about 3/4 inch gap) and a few other small simple things to fix. I just want it to putz around town with. What do you guys think?

Not for that price. Thats maybe a 500 dollar car.

 

prob could wd-40 sunroof,oil light is oil pressure switch or oil pump(could be serious issue) 1000 bucks depends if u can do the work and know what ur doing. but l would try n bring that price down.

 

i wouldnt risk it, but thats just me. oil is kinda a big deal.

 

Yeah I'll do all the work myself. I told her to get a new Oil Pressure Sending Unit to see if that doesnt fix the oil light problem. I searched this forum and I might get her to try to do some other cheap fixes. Hopefully its not the oil pump. I will not buy the car if it is.
