Brake light dash all tail lights light up but brake lights won't
I have a 97 accord ex... I replaced one bulb because the tail light was out and then I noticed all the brake lights won't light up when brake pedal is in. so I checked the brake pedal and noticed it was missing the plug on the pedal that touches the button. I added a screw that now is in and won't fall out and holds the button in... I also checked all the fuses... Yet none of the brake light light up when I brake... Note they do light up as tail lights... Any info I'm wondering if the brake switch could cause this
Confused, yes I'm slow. Without that plug the "taillights" would have been "on" all of the time? If you take out the screw do the brake lights come on. Trying to figure out if the new stop you added is not letting the switch "release" all the way.
If the switch is releasing all the way, ALL of the fuses and bulbs are good, then I would test the brake switch.
