Default 3" exhaust for 96-00 civic hatchback?

I am new to the forum, not new to the honda scene, but doing a boosted b18c1 is my 96 hatch, and all i need left is the exhaust, and am having trouble finding a 3" exhaust, i can find them for 92-00 civic 2/4 doors, and integras, but no ek hatch. Any ideas where I can get an exhaust? Can be piping without muffer or a whole exhaust system. Thanks!

Go to a local muffler shop and have one made. I'd recommend using a Magnaflow muffler. They are relatively quite and affordable.

No one in my area can do a mandrel bent exhaust, only crush bend. I guess worst case scenario I could go with crush bent. What would be better, a 3" crush bent exhaust or 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust (my current system)?

In that case I would run the 2.5" you already have - for a myriad of reasons.

You can always have a custom one made just as long as you have the specs for it. I have a buddy here that can do that and is well known for all his fab work.

www.KTeller.com You can use their 3" piping kit and then just add a short muffler onto it. That is what I am running. I have yet to get my muffler but I am goin g to use the Megan Racing MOE-3 shorty oval one.

do you have a hatch? i don't see kteller listing a 3" kit for EK hatch either

OP, you can look into vibrant's 3" system http://vibrantperformance.com/catalo...1030_1049_1100

skunk2 also makes a 70mm (2.75") and 76mm (full 3") catback for EK hatch w/ b-series

I do have a hatch. I just use the weld-up 3" SS kit. There is just not a lot of room for a muffler back there. That's why I will be using the shorty one.

Thermal 3inch for Ek hatch is same as EG hatch with modification to 1 of the hangers. It should be listed that way as thats how I purchased mine. I got mine from http://www.nolimitmotorsport.com/

I just bought an ebay 3" catback. Hell, for the price the piping alone is worth the cost. If it looks like *** I can huck the muffler and still not be into it that much. Most shops around here get about $400 to custom fab you a CRUSH BENT exhaust system. Too damn much IMO.

I picked up an OBX catback on eBay about year ago and it's nice. Well worth $150 I paid for it. Heavy wall stainless, mandrel bent, fit good, I installed it myself. Large resonator at the back and couple of smaller up front - sounds great too.

This ebay exhaust fit good and all, but its INSANELY deep/loud. I guess thats what you get with just about any 3" system.

I got a 2 1/2" as my ride is N/A. Should have put that in the post. Yes, it sounds deep - not really loud unless I lean on the loud pedal. Louder than stock - yes, way louder than stock.

I have never heard a complaint from any of my neighbors and they would tell me - but, I also take it easy in the neighborhoods. Only romp on it on the highways.

You brainwashed people thinking a tube is better then any other tube. they all do the same thing. But spending 500-600 on some bullshit muffler and tube just cuz it has some name on it is just fanboy bullshit.

You can build your own for 1/3rd less. Same sized tubing.
