Default ep3 detailing?

so i bought a 2004 ep nhbp
and i have yet to get it detailed
or try to do it myself.

i have no idea how i'd detail the car myself...?
should i just go pay $100-200 ish to get it done
or is there some easy way to wax and wash and buff that i have yet to figure out?

it has swirls that i can see at certain angles when sun is reflecting off the paint during the day that bug the SHT out of me

its really just the exterior paint that needs to be done

You can wax your car yourself, its pretty easy. Doing it by hand is long but the best for a beginner! Using a polisher to wax or even buff your car can be very dangerous for the paint...

You could burn right threw the paint and ruin it permanently! I have been doing it for years so I know what I'm doing but I also learned from my body shop guy who showed me the ropes... On top of it all you have a black car which when doing all this is even harder as black paint can ruin faster then any other!

I won't lie when I say I get my car professionally buffed even if I know what I'm doing! I do wax my car myself...

If you have any other question regarding washing, waxing, etc... feel free that ask!

beginner buffing = NO NO's!!!

I took my old IS300 to some El Chepo Nuevo place when I was in AZ, the detail shop must have hired some noobies or something, they scuffed/scratched up my rear bumper pretty bad... I ended up getting 1yr worth of free hand job wash from them, LOLz... Basically, the scratches were around the hard to do round edge areas which were not that noticeable in black either.

There is a section on h-t about detailing. Do it yourself. Make sure you have coverage when cleaning.
