hey everyone,

I'm doing an older lady friend of mine a favor.. she recently got in an accident (her fault) in her 2003 civic hybrid (auto tranny). anyway the damage wasnt enough to keep her from driving it home. they had to tie the driver side door closed. she had already talked to the insurance company (it was just about closing time).. so she went to drive the car home and realized when the car started to shudder from 5-20mph in acceleration.. so she called the insurance company to tell them. she got voice mail so she left a voice mail with them.
fast forward.. she gets the car back from the collision repair shop. they claimed its like new.. (all external damage is gone).. the repair shop was right off the freeway so she didnt realize it was shuddering again until she got off freeway and on her way home.. plenty of intersections to do the stop and go thing. so she called the collision repair shop.. she found out that that particular problem wasnt included in the estimate.. she's told that the problem wasnt due to the accident.
so basically she's getting jerked around.. she called the insurance company.. they said unless she can prove that it was caused by the accident they wont help her.

she lives in the Buckeye area near Phoenix, AZ.
can anyone recommend me an honest good mechanic that may be able to help verify the problem was caused by the accident? in the phoenix area?
or any other advice to deal with the situation.
