Hey guys I need some help. I have a 91 crx with a b16a swap. I did the swap and the car ran fine before. It sat pretty much all winter in a barn, and mice got into it. They were all through out the dash and ventilation system, so i removed everything to be cleaned. I also had to put a new obd0-obd1 conversion harness in. Well i got everything back together and tried to start it. I turn the key to the on position and the main relay clicks once and the CEL comes on. Then it clicks again and the CEL goes off. But the fuel pump is not running. Its a 255hp that i just installed last summer, so doubt the pump is bad. My main question is; is there anything under the dash that the mice could of gotten into or i could of unplugged or cut by accident that would affect the fuel pump from running? Im going to go under the car today and check if pump is getting any power, but I doubt the pump is. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Check the fuel pump power wire for voltage first. If your sure its not working one way to check is remove the bolt from fuel filter and turn key on. Gas should out if its working. The fuel pump power wire is yellow and black.

 

Ok well im not getting any power to the fuel pump. no power to the plug in side the car behind the drivers seat (I think it's the sending unit). Im not geting any power all the way up to the main harness plug. I think it has to do with when i ripped out the dash and the heater core and stuff. Im pretty lost here. Also if i have a bad ecu could that be the problem? I took off the jumper harness and plugged in the factory obd ecu ( just to see if the fuel pump would run) and nothing different happened.

 

wire it to the battery with a toggle switch for a smiple fix, while you ttrace the ture issue.

 

Yea that's what I think I'm going to do. I put a jumper wire from the yel/blk main relay wire directly to the fuel pump and it ran. So I'm thinking the short has to be between the relay and the pump.

 

did u ever find out the problem? im having the same issue as well , my car was stolen and its been sitting in my driveway for like 4 months, i just put in the new ignition car cranks but wont start. i have spark but u dont even hear the fuel pump turning on . i checked all my fuse's

 

Search Main Relay Repair,99% of hondas not priming fuel pump is this! (old solder joints inside didn't receive enough solder,simple if you can solder "properly") I sell them rebuilt...

 

i try'd that already, i bought a new 1 n it still didnt work. i think it might be the ecu. when they stole my car that took my ecu and step down harness, so i bought a p75 from a friend (he said it worked) and i think it might be busted. when i turn the key to 2 , my engine check light doesnt comes on for the 2 sec's so i think it might be the ecu
