Default oil pressure gauge necessary?

reason I ask is the kid that I bought the car from put one in there, but if there's no real need for it I'd rather take it out...I don't find it to be too appealing lol.

It looks like he took a standard pod from advance auto and tried to make it work w/the car....gauge works fine but it looks half ***, and i've grown out of the extra gauge look if there's no point to having em.

anyways, let me know what u all think

thanks : )

I'd leave it unless you've replaced the oil pump recently. These cars are getting older and so are the parts on them. An extra level of information would be nice. maybe just get a pod that actually was made for the car.

It's not really needed unless the engine has performance parts (turbo, cam, internals, etc). Or is older like the previous poster says. Previous owner just wanted to see oil pressure when VTEC kicked in.
