ive seen it before... rear struts are just a solid pipe that has fork and top hat in rear...

and other info.. i searched but i cant find any info..

it will.. i dont care if its illeagel my hatch isn't legal anyways.. T&T events anyways.. and grudge matches.. plus u could just weld the struts and run a "spring" and u got the same thing.. sure it would pass tech that way anyways...

what im saying is...other than being illegal per nhra sanctioned track rules (although you can make it look legal like you are saying), is not beneficial at all.

it will shock the chassis and cause more wheel spin/wheel hop. it will do more harm than good.

its really not that expensive just to but some good springs and replace what you have now not to mention it will help you for what you are trying to acheive

**** is gay i did that a long time when i was younger i dropped two tenths on a street car and almost killed myself also dented my rear quarter panels

I totaled a car because I had the rear struts fully hard, plus all the additional sway bar crap. its no good on the street.
