So I bought a 98 civic ex auto with a blown motor and bought a single cam swap to replace it but it came out of a 97 civic dx auto tranny also but I did knowest the tranny wore a lil different should I put my old tranny on the new motor and if I put the swap in should it work with out changing anything else? Thanks

If your original tranny is good, then swap it to the new motor. Its a direct bolt on.

I dont understand. So you bought another car which is a 98 Civic Ex automatic BUT the motor in it is blown so you bought a 97 Civic DX automatic motor to replace it? And now you want to reuse the 98 Civic Ex automatic TRANSMISSION on the 97 Civic Dx motor?
