Default Gauge Swapping

I have a 2002 civic ex sedan manual. I would think EX models be on top of the game, but they aren't i had a 98 accord with a better gauge. But thats beside the point. If i swap my 02 gauge with a 01-03 civic coupe gauge will all the features work? Or will i have to do additional upgrades? For example i dont have a door is open alert on my gauge, but i have a trunk is open alert which is weird. but the coupes have the a door is open alert will it work in my sedan if i swap?

You could always try it and see, although I don't really see the point in it. You should be able to tell if your door is open or closed without having a visual indicator.
