Crx chokes at idle
Background:I have a 91 Crx Dx. It still has DPFI. It runs like stock except the previous owners dropped a d16y7. Still uses everything previous from the Crx. It was an automatic which was then converted to 5 speed. The ecu was never changed so theres a code being thrown for that but nothing more. No obvious vacuum leaks, dizzy did have to be adjusted. (power would cut off after 5k rpm)
I can be driving the vehicle normally for half an hour then the idle starts acting up. It starts choking, and the rpms from about 1k to 200 and keeps going up and down. During this time Because the idle is so slow, if I want to move from a stop I have to ride the clutch because if I dont the car will just die.
If you have anymore questions that could help you help me please ask.
Any suggestions? Tips as far as diagnosing?

i have almost the same problem, but only at idle. it is until the point that the engine is about to stall. once i start moving, it's fine.. sorry to be a free rider in your post..
upon start up, the engine will quit unless you press the throttle.. it's strange.. asked around and most answers i got was to tune my a/f ratio.. i don't see the need to.. i haven't at the moment, but maybe would try to tomorrow. a week ago i had it check and results were fine.. not really sure what is it this time.
the distributor was fine.. no adjustments needed. maybe i would try adjusting the t/b later.. it still it the same at the moment.. i've checked everything including the wiring and all seems to be in order.. getting closer to hitting a wall here..
