Firstly, I realize this question has been asked many times before, however I found many conflicting replies and no concrete answers. I *did* use the search feature before creating this post. So, long story short I need a new hood for my 94 civic dx coupe. I can get a smokin deal on a hood that came off a 4dr sedan. It's just going to be a temporary fix; I don't need it to look nice, I just need my car to pass inspection so I can get to work. Now I know that the 4dr hood is slightly longer, and will have a bit of an overhang and won't line up correctly with the rest of my front end. But my question is, will the hood latch correctly?

***Btw, in the title of my post there is a typo I just noticed.. I meant to say 92-95.

 

I'd say it would fit and line up if a 2 door hood can fit on a four door and line up, i dont see any reason why it wouldnt fit!

 

different part numbers. it might not latch right. worst case, if its just a beater, slap hood pins on it.

 

Also hear its too long but from what I always read it seems like you can "get it to latch", not sure if thats the best plan though where do u live, over here in cali i grabbed a hood, fender, and headlight for $130 so if you live nearby I can point u in a direction where to get **** cheap.

 

i agree i think it would b too long it might latch but then it would look all out of wack
