Ek hatch with 99-00 Si seats????
Before I get flamed on, I did search before I posed and I looked thru the faq's and did not see what I'm looking for.
I have a 96 hatch with stock front seats and gsr rear seats. ( car came that way)
At first look the black leather gsr seats look nice but when you get close ot looks like *** and I won't let my kid sit back there because of the fitment.
What I want to do is but front and rear 99-00 Si seats and put them in my hack for a nice clean look.
I know the fronts should bolt right up but how about the rear seats??
Is it even going to look good and bolt up.
And can I please see pictures if you have them.
Thanks for the feedback.

Hatch seats are 50/50 split. Coupe seats are 40/60 split.
There's a piece of metal welded to the car, under the backside of your seats. You can probably see this from the trunk/hatch area if you pull the carpet up.
You'd need to cut that off and weld it in a new place, and even then I'm not sure it'd work.
Hatch rear seats lock in place with pins on the top corners. Coupe rear seats sort of latch in.
I'd say just get the rear seats wrapped to match. If you want them to perfectly match the Si seats (which aren't much better than EX seats btw), then you'd want a set of donor rear Si seats so the upholsterer could use the center sections on your new covers.

I don't currently own both, but I posted some reasons for the OP why they won't fit. I can totally understand wanting to know the details besides, "because it just won't work".
There's a big metal bracket in the way, at the very least.

**** hatchback was only dx right? No ex models. Maybe I'll just buy some hatch rear seats and put in the Si fronts and call it a day.
Coupes were DX, EX, HX and Si.
Sedans were DX, EX, GX (rare), LX and VP/SE/DX-V (same trim, different names).
Cx was the economy model right?
I guess what I'm trying to get at is none of the hatchback seats look like the ex or Si (with the designs) right?
I know my way around the motor but all this interior stuff is new to me.

There's no US hatch with a fabric pattern like the Si. Even the EX seats have a different pattern.
Si seats really aren't that great though...
Ya but I'm just trying to replace my worn out front seat with some style, and make my rear seats safe for anyone to ride on
^^ How come you don't want to upgrade to an Integra seat? The have a lot more style, comfort and support than the Si seats you are considering.
The last two 96-00 Civic's i've owned were fitted with them, difference is night and day!
my 96 hatch with 98 GSR seats

and a 00 SiR coupe with 00 LS seats

Not sure what you mean.....
All you do is swap your original inner seat rail onto the Integra seat which takes all of 10 mins per side, and it bolts directly in like factory...this has been covered on this site many times

I like the way the gsr seat look maybe I'll just go that route. I'll try to find a link about swapping the inner seat wells. Then I just gave to find some stock hatch rear seats.
That's the problem. As far as I know, '96-'00 Civic hatch rear seats are the only rear seats which will fit correctly. I've seen some other seats installed, but they leave gaps.
I'd just rewrap the stock rear seats to match.
I agree with Deetz, I'm a big fan of the Integra front seats. I have a set in my 97 coupe and I love them. I think any stock civic seats 96-00 are just terrible, uncomfortable and cheap feeling.
Ya I was talking about the rear seats as far as fitting them in.
I'm going to find some 96-00 hatch rear seats and just have them wrapped and get some gsr fronts and wrap those also.
