GC mounts for the rear?
I am building a 91 civic hatch for auto-x & an occasional HPDE. I am planning on using the ground control on koni set up. I have read about the benefits of using their upper mounts on the front to extend shock travel. However I haven't heard of anyone using them on the rear as well. Has anyone had any experience using them on the rear? Are the advantages similar to those on the front? Are they really necessary?

However, the rear suspension of Civics and Integras have more travel than the front to begin with, and most people won't benefit from extending the rear mounts other than a reduction in droop travel (if that actually is a benefit).
I appreciate the input fellas. I guess I'll try the set up with out them, and use the extra $ on other much needed parts. I can alway add them down the road.

If your springs are stiff enough, you won't need them. I used to roll on 380 lb front springs on Koni/GC, lowered a pretty good bit (top of tire even with fender) and never had any problems with OEM upper shock mounts.
