93 civic-b18b1- Clutch issue, wont go in gear..
93 civic dx with a b18b1 swap. ls trans.
noticed that the clutch pedal has gotten spongy lately ( bout 2 weeks now )
i have to press it to the floor for it to engage and the release point is like, half inch off the floor. its been grinding alot into 3rd as well, but that could be the pedal isnt fully on the floor like i said it has to be.
well today i was driving in the rain.. hydroplaned a bit, threw it in neutral
and then tryed to put it into 3rd and got nothing but a bunch of grinding then it finally popped in.. well when i noticed that i pulled into a parking lot and realized i couldnt get it into any gear but 3rd and reverse.
so i shut the car off, put it in 1st turn it on and it rolled out, but wouldnt go into 2nd unless i shut the car off and did the same thing.. but 3rd and 4th will go in no problem.
what could this possibly be? the trans was apparently a rebuilt.

first check to see if you have clutch fluid
check your slave cylinder to see if thats your problem
if not could be your clutch master cylinder
I had a similar problem. I did all the above and havent had a problem since. cheap and easy fix

i have fluid for sure, just checked it buuttt.. its oil, the kid i bought it from used oil... that cant even work can it?? the clutch has gotten worse since i bought it.. should i just bleed it all out and put the proper fluids in it and then bleed from there??
