Powerlock / Auto window problem !!
One day I was driving and my window regulator went out, so I took it to this shop to buy it, and he said he would buy the part for me and install it for free, so it only costed around 120ish. Well, he fixed my window, but now my power locks aren't working. Nor is my auto window down.
When I press the power locks, I hear the relay ticking under the dash, and I checked the wiring diagram on alldata but all window and lock wires run to the Smart junction box,
The power windows will go down about 2 inches and stop when pressed all the way down and released.
Any idea to what may have happened?

Door Locks
Test the switch?
Test the driver's door lock actuator? If it doesn't function properly, neither of the doors will lock or unlock.
Window
Does the window go all the way down if you hold the switch, or does it jam after two inches? OR, is it only doing that when you try to use the auto-down? Might be the control unit.
If you have access to alldata and a multimeter, it should be pretty easy to figure out what's wrong.
Good luck with it.

I kinda figured the switch worked if I heard the relay ticking under the dash,
And yes the window will go all the way down if I hold the switch, just the auto down isn't working.

How should I check the door lock switch?
All data's diagrams all lead the the SJB and it doesn't show me anything that is going on inside, it's just marked with dotted lines.

1. Remove the driver's door panel.
2. Remove the power lock switch.
3. Check for continuity between the terminals.
- There should be continuity between terminals 1 and 2 when the door lock switch is in the LOCKED position and no continuity in the neutral position.
- There should be continuity between terminals 2 and 3 when the door lock switch is in the UNLOCKED position and no continuity when its in the neutral position.
If the continuity is not as specified, replace the switch.
You should also test the door lock actuator. Disconnect the 3-pin connector from it and test as follows.
1. Check for continuity between terminals 1 and 2.
- There should be continuity when the door lock **** switch is in the LOCKED position.
- There should be no continuity when the door lock **** switch is in the UNLOCKED position.
2. Check for continuity between terminals 1 and 3.
- There should be continuity when the door lock **** switch is in the UNLOCKED position.
- There should be no continuity when the door lock **** switch is in the LOCKED position.
If the continuity is not as specified, replaced the actuator.
Note: This is for testing the actuator in a coupe, not a sedan.
