Default Replacing clutch and flywheel. Any advice?

I am replacing the clutch and flywheel on my 97 civic. I have access to a lift and all the tools I'm gonna need, but I will be doing it myself. what would be the easiest way to do it? should I drop the engine and transmission out the bottom, or just the transmission? Any suggestions would be welcome.

I always just pull the trans...Pulling the whole engine and transmission is more work and not necessary for swapping clutch and flywheel. Good luck!

The best investment I made while doing a new clutch and flywheel was an air compressor/air tools and a transmission jack. A transmission jack makes life so simple because it holds the trans where it can't fall and it has so many different adjustments and pivot points to get it just perfect for lining up.
