Installed intake and now car runs really rough
So I installed an aem short ram into my 93 civic, which I have done several times on previous cars and its pretty straight forward. When I started it up to test it and go to work it ran choppy and rough. I had to drive it to work like that because I was running late. Heres the backstory on the intake. It was brand new but did not come with the rubber coupler to attach it to the intake manifold. Bought a cheap one from autozone and used that but it was a pain in the butt to get on it as it was a generic one. It could have easily not been on flush. When I got home I put my stock intake back on and now it still runs rough. Any thoughts? Could I have pulled something out or got too much air in the system or something. Also, the small hose running from the intake to the head was slightly pulled out when I got home so I put it back in and tightened it. Thanks all and please help!
Something is unplugged somewhere. Even if the coupler wasn't sitting properly you would only hear the noise more so. Trace your steps backwards and make sure all the hoses and sensors are plugged in.
Found the culprit this morning. Couldnt see it last night in the dark even with a lamp. I ripped one of the spark plug wires out of the distributor (they were way past needing to be replaced). Buying a new set today and should be fine. Thanks all!
