I have a 1990 Accord manual trans. The tach dosent work but every now and then it just COMES ALIVE until i start it again. My gas milage went to ****. and when im just cruzing at normal speed not accelerating nor deselerating the engine stutters and shakes then the engine light comes on but dosent die. i press on gas it stops the studdering. I shut it off then restart it the light is off. Its driving me nuts.. its had a brand new distrubitor about 20,000 miles ago. btw its got 300,000 on it. Until now it got 31 mpg.

any help would be great....

 

Does that distributor have a lifetime warranty? Usually when the tach quits working and the car runs poorly its a dying distributor
