Have a 96 integra rs stock it cranks up but immediatly shuts back off any ideas

 

Shuts off immediately? Does it turn on in the first place or does it just crank?

There are a multitude of reasons why a car might not turn on. The most common is electrical. IE low battery voltage.

 

It does start but shuts off I am not in front of car so cant trouble shoot it till I get home I work out of town and let a friend borrow it and it wouldnt run this am trying to troubleshoot it through others experience till I get home

 

Does it have gas? LOL! If it was running fine then there shouldn't be a problem. Check to see if your friend put gas in it.

 

If engine starts and stalls as soon as you release the ign. key from the start position check the ign. switch, it is a common problem on older Honda/Acura...

If it's not the ignition switch, maybe it's the main relay?
