Just got an 86REX. My dads got a d15 out of a 92 civic dx. How hard would it be for the swap? Also how do you lower these cars if there is no springs in the front?

 

Use it for a work car and get a Civic to mod or a 2nd gen REX. Welcome to the board!

im not exactly sure how to lower the car- But from what i hear its just a tie down, but it makes the car really bouncy really stiff- i have seen a few 86 crx really fast- Im not sure about the motor swap- ive never looked into the engine bay-what engine is in the car?

 

It has a 1.5, 12 valve, carb. Not sure on the engine code.

 

If its anything like a 2nd gen CRX Si swap to 1st gen, it won't work. Otherwise, I'd build the little d16a6 and put it into his car.
