Based on attendance last year---Let's go awd, rwd, fwd---- street trim,---tire limitations- Quick 16 ladder style. More shop cars will come out if they have someone to race. Everyone likes the rivalries (honda vs mitsu vs subie, fwd vs awd vs rwd etc etc)!!! If it turns out that 30 evos come and enter the class, then you can break off classes.
I do know we will still have the Super Quick class (12.99 and quicker, 3 qualifying passes, sportsman ladder, bracket racing).
There were talks about modifying the PRO-FWD class due to the lack of entries, and I should know more about the class changes shortly.
Also there were talks about combining the Super Mod (13.00-14.99) and Super Street (15.00 sec and slower) bracket classes and making 1 slow bracket class for cars (13.00 and slower).

10.36 is what i heard at the end of the vid. not a bad time at all. not sure il be the quick this year but in that ballpark area. im def going to try to make most of these if everything goes right
I believe his fastest was 10.0 or 10.1, and came to find out his head had a few slightly bent valves all along lol. DEf come out even if your not that fast, there were a decent amount of cars, but most had issues all year, the more people the better the competition.
I don't know if our personal cars will be out there by the first date ( our ef an eg ) but we're trying to piece everything together and get out there. If anything we should be out there at least to spectate and to support the event.
we will see if our old motor will hold up this year, we need more power to hang with you guys, but its always fun to come and chill in Wisconsin
Brainerd should get represented well by Illinois this year

im def going to try to make it and get a buddy to come. get a couple quick single cams out there.
The last time I went to an Import Wars event was in '08 (won the pro-fwd championship). We often had full fields and good competition and we would have raced there again in '09 but the track was painfully disorganized.
I will say that '09 was pretty disorganized, but last year we got that pretty straightened out. We would love to see you guys come up this year.
The track wants to simplify the classes for this years Import Wars to increase car count and decrease confusion. Here's what I proposed. 3 classes total. 2 bracket classes and 1heads up class. The 2 bracket classes will be Super Mod at 13.00 and slower and Super Quick at 12.99 and quicker. The Heads up class would be a Heads Up class called Pro Street. Street cars with very minimal rules. Basically no full tilt race cars. One headlight, one tail and a stock firewall. Slicks OK. Thats about it besides NHRA safety rules that will be strickly enforced.
pretty good 3 classes
if the Pro Street class does get too full, you could break it up based on what it needed
ex. segregate awd/fwd/rwd or below 10.0-above 10.0 with no breakout rules(sandbaggers) based on qualifying times

The Rotarys will probally still have their own class "Pro Outlaw" which is run in conjunction with out series, but not really part of our series. So you wouldnt have to worry about them running in the class with you.
exactly, if we have enough cars to break up the class into 2 different classes then we can do that. either by times or by car type(i.e FWD or AWD). going to need 16 cars to do that either way.
I agree on a heads up awd, fwd, rwd class with street dress no wheelie bar one headlight one tailight stock fire wall the no wheelie bar will keep out the rotarys
