where did you mount YOUR crossovers?
i got some nice doorspeakers and i got the crossovers, i have no idea where to put them in the door of my 90 civic SI. anyone got any pointers on where they mounted theirs?
I put mine behind the center console. Cheesy but it works. For the rears I put them behind the seat belt rollers. Unbolt the roller, and there's a bit space back there. They're almost invisible even with the interior stripped.
I put em inside the door and tie wrapped em tight. Placement would be just behind the side door pockets, inside the door panel.
I'm assuming that the door panels are similar for civics & crxes. On my crx, the shop that did my stereo just taped them in the opening of the metal door area (the place where you can get to your regulators). If you still have door panels, that should fit fine.
Now, with my panel bottoms cut out because of my rollbar, they're just dangling from the door pulls on the doors. I'm going to MacGuyver some brackets to work as holders for them, and attach them to the bottoms of the door pulls.
But, as I said, if you still have door panels, you should be able to tuck them in there, and still maintain use of the windows. HTH.
