wiring nitemare, hows this go?
I took apart the wire loom like a dumass to try and get rid of abs,srs and all that **** cuz well it seemed like a good idea, not. So i tore it apart and followed abs wiring and removed it all with a few wires left over i hope they dont matter lol, really hope. One wire i cut and removed was the brown wire/silver stripe i believe does anyone know what its for? And the inside loom is it all just taped up and held against the chassis or do they use black plastic loom i cant remember because its been so long, here is a pic
I did start it after i did all this and it seem to run fine but i didnt check vtec engagement and some other random stuff but it ran, im hoping i didnt **** **** up, wiring is not my forte i definetely can say, just kinda a fear of mine i guess.

best advice i can give you is to get a GOOD wire diagram to trace them all.. Im sure there are plenty of more knowledgable sources on here but thats just the way i would do it
Ditto the above^^^.
I would never have tried eliminating unwanted wiring without a wiring diagram and I have been doing auto 12V for a very long time.
Even with the 56 Chevy I am working on right now, a way less complicated wiring harness, I still use a wire "guide".
Most Honda/Acura wiring is covered with convoluted tubing and electrical tape is used a junctions and to keep tubing from opening.
If you want to eliminate "bulk", [make harness smaller] "back tape" it all.
Back taping is used to keep wire harness flexible, unlike when you just tape, [electrical tape] the harness making it stiff and hard to bend.
To back tape you start by wrapping tape around wire bundle a couple times at one end to get it started, then twist the tape so it is up side down, wrap the wire harness, [tape up side down] to just past a junction point, flip tape over and retrace, [tape right side up] what you have already wraped, in both directions the overlap should be half or a littel less then the width of the tape.
The above is old-school and works very well, keeping wire bundles as small as possible, but still protecting and holding all wires neatly, biggest advantage is wire harness stays very flexible and easy to turn around corners and so on.
Your dash harness is attached to the dash, the best way to deal with it is to remove the dash and the harness along with it. 94

ya i taped the outside loom by using electrical i just taped it together lightly then wrapped the plastic loom and seald it up, the inside i mite just try that back tape or tape it lightly just dont want it to chaff against the body.
And yes i know in a lapse of judment i tried to do it that way, trust me i regret it like a mother****er but i guess i learned my lesson, i even went to school for this **** and still was being a dumass, i know i know. Im gonna try to put it back together as clean as possible and hope for the best because if i ****ed something up well ill be calling ****in rywire for a new harness i guess. You learn from mistakes thats for sure, shouldnt have opened the loom up at all

When i elimintaed the wiring i did start the car it started just like normal, rpm was normal, turn signals operated on cluster just no lights in the sockets, i know it was dum to cut **** trust me im pretty pissed about it now but should i be worried about anything else as it has started and everything so i can assume i didnt **** up the fuel pump or dizzy wiring or anything like that. is that correct or should i be worried?
