Default Magnaflow mp 4703 flow sheet?

Hi everyone..

I am trying to get some info in this pump.. It flows to 120psi but how much.. I realy need a flow sheet of it and magnafuel doesn´t answer emails and I tried google it.

http://www.magnafuel.com/products/efi/pumps/MP-4701.htm

I like the idé of high base pressures and ID injectors. I am using e85 and that makes the demands for a big fuelpump very high. I don´t like the idé of using more than one pump that is whay i am intrested in this pump. Enyone!!??

Which injectors are you going to run? 4 cylinder?

I prefer Weldon Pumps, but that one should be able to keep up with just about any of the ID injectors assuming there's only 4 of them, it says it's capable of 2000hp.

Another reason I like weldon, you can actually get real data from their pumps from their website. Kind of like comparing injector data available from other sites to what's on the ID site. :p

It is a honda 4 cyl..

The weldon pump that flows alot are only rated to 80 psi.. It flows alot but that means no high base pressure and very big injectors. They have one that can supoer 160psi but it doesn´t flow according to their flowsheet.

I would like to se if smaller injectors and higher pressures will make it in the equation that is why I have an intrest in the magnafuel pump that will support 120psi.. With higher pressures flow decreases but I need to know how much it is decreasing.. I don´t understand how one can have a pump like that for sale and not provide a flow sheet.. It´s like selling a tank of gas and not say how much it is in the tank..

You can do like we do and just buy the pump in question and send it to Kinsler for independent testing. The weldon pumps do flow past 80 psi, I've had a few tested and they do well into the 100+ range. I think my Weldon 2035 was still flowing 875 lbs/hr at 120psi, which is significantly more than a pair of 044's can do.. Why not just call Tony and get a Weldon?

What size injectors do you want to use?

What's the power goal?

I allready have the 2025 pump but have second thoughts when it is rated to 80 psi.. It feels nice that you have flowtested it to 120 though..

I would like a pump that can flow for 1000+ hp on e85 with 4 pc of id1000 and a second stage id 2000 and a base pressure around 58-72 psi.

I know it is alot to ask but I want to get as close to it as possible..

Edit:
Sorry Locash.. I read wrong.. I thought you wrote 2025.. I now see you wrote 2035..

Gotcha. Well, the good news is that you can easily make that power with that injector combo without the high pressures.

The 2035 and 2345 pumps will do up to 120psi or so for short duration, so for a high boost drag application that's fine.

So it is ether the Weldon 2035 or the magnaflow mp 4703..

Strange that weldon sayes 80psi max if it can handle 50% more than that evean if it is in 1/4 mil races at a time or for sweeps on the dyno.

I know weldon are god stuff but I want to compere the magnafuel pump to them.. Retarded not to have a flow sheet for such harcore race pump.. So I was hoping someone else have one..

I've been using it for a while and I love it. No crazy fuel psi here though...

We've made 1000+ on a Weldon 2025 with Q16.. I had an old 2025 flow tested as well, it still flowed over 700 lbs/hr at 100psi.. Use the 2025, you'll probably be okay, and since you already have it, no sense spending money until the pump is the limiting factor..

700lbs/hr won't get you anywhere near 1000+whp on E85 though.

Kinsler offers flow testing services and also sells fuel pumps produced by various manufacturers. There are many conditions that should be considered when
selecting the proper fuel pump for a specific application.
Over the years we have seen pumps of the same model vary in flow by as much
as 15%. Manufactures may cite that the electric motor vendor has a wide tolerance range for motor torque output, or they may simply indicate that each pumping element
has more or less rotating friction and/or internal leakages.

MagnaFuel states that the MP4703 pump has a max continous amp draw of 24 amps
and a momentary max draw of 28 amps. The MP4703 pump has been tested by Kinsler
Fuel Injection and we noted a 25 amp draw at 60 psi load, and a 29 amp draw at 80 psi.
Feel free to pm me for further details. Please indicate your specific requirements or
questions.
