well depends. For obd1 gsr the used cat( in cali) runs ~$200. For obd2 the cat will run much more. Plus you'll need the O2 sensor. The rest of the original gsr pipping you can find on CL for dirt cheap.
oh btw you can find a used OEM cat on CL too for pretty cheap but if you need to smog your car, then I personally recommend to buy new so you wont get burnt in the long run.

is the gsr obd1? if so you can get a "california approved" cat for $200. The O2 will also run a couple hundred bucks and the oem gsr piping(from cat to end) could be like $50. I picked up a 2.25 piping to a ES tuning exhaust for $100. I also got a "good" oem cat off CL for 50 and got burnt with it.
YOu want a oem gsr exhaust with some aftermarket cat that i passed smog on like 2 years ago and since has beeen laying around in my garage. all it will need is a cat to header flage welded on it. Were i calee are you.?
like I said... the used piping wont matter on smog but buying a used cat is VERY riskiy. Speaking from personal exp. What I would do in your case, if your planning to keep the gsr, is to buy a aftermarket New cat and pass smog. Later pick up a used cat for dirt cheap and stick it in. You'll never have to worry about your cat going out since you'll have a new cat waiting for smog in 2 years. Exactly what I did.
and fly around cali trying to warm up the cat. A good cat just go to smog and pass without smashing, till the cat turns red, in order to pass. Our honda with 170k...drove to smog and pass without no smashing down no freeway.
