Default Half size eg radiator in ef.

Okay so my question is what kind of mods to an ef need to be done to fit and mount eg half size radiator? Do u have to go aftermarket crossmember or mod stock mount points? Any help or insight would be awesome.

There are many ways to go about this. Most ghetto-fabulous way is to tilt the radiator back towards the engine at the top.
I guess just as fabulous would be to cut into your hood for clearance.

A few aftermarket cross members can come with proper mounts for the different radiator.

I was able to save a few $'s and just relocate my stock radiator mounts and do a little touch up work to the metal down there with a hammer (really nothing major).

i got the same radiator. So, i tested mine but it wont fit because its too big. even though i didnt try to close it with the hood. some one told me that they had to cut some piece underneath the radiator.. or the long black metal.. crossmember? (not sure, im just new to honda and cars). then i bought the crx radiator and it fits right. but im gonna use the half size bcuz its more efficient and saves space.

Some people notch the cross member, others notch the hood. I, personally, would opt to notch the hood sub-frame as its structural integrity is not as valuable in contrast to the crossmember. 4drEF also mentioned what is popularly known as the "Ghetto Lean" which I believe the majority have opted for, though some have been more creative than others.

I am currently dealing with a similar crisis. Oh, the joys of "direct fit" aftermarket parts - I purchased a Fluidyne half-radiator, which did not fit with the factory crossmember (the Fluidyne is too tall for the factory crossmember and the lower spout juts out too far). So, I am fabricating mounts to weld to Full-Race traction bar I purchased, which equally did not fit the Fluidyne half-radiator. Ugh...

That's what i thought. Aftermarket for sure. Just wondering if it was possible without cutting the crossmember.

I know there is a crossmember that Innovative makes that will accomodate the eg half radiator. Password has it for like 235. Hope that helps you.
